The A-League homepage dedicated an article to discuss Khoa Ngo's transfer to play in Vietnam.
On the morning of January 4, 2026,midfielder Ngo Dang Khoa officially signed a contract with the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club right at the club’s headquarters. Khoa Ngo, whose Vietnamese name is Ngo Dang Khoa, was born in 2006, holds Australian nationality, and has Vietnamese parents.
Before joining the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club, Khoa Ngo played for Perth Glory in the Australian A-League and was the first Vietnamese-origin player to compete in Australia’s national football league.
The official site of the Australian National League also published a dedicated article describing the Vietnamese-Australian transfer deal with the headline: "Khoa Ngo departs: Perth Glory's young talent joins Vietnamese club on a long-term loan".
"Winger Khoa Ngo from Perth Glory has joined Ho Chi Minh City Police Club in Vietnam's V.League 1 on loan until the end of the Isuzu UTE A-League season. The 19-year-old has made 26 appearances in the Isuzu UTE A-League since debuting for his hometown club in April 2024, including 6 starts."
Khoa Ngo is the first Vietnamese-origin player to compete in the A-LeagueHe previously played for Joondalup United and Perth RedStar at youth levels before joining the Perth Glory Academy in 2020.
