The Gunners demonstrated the resilience expected of a league leader by continuously responding to tough moments, extending their winning streak and maintaining first place after 20 rounds. This result gives Mikel Arteta’s squad 48 points, extending their gap to second-place Manchester City by 6 points.

While Arsenal accelerates, their direct competitors failed to capitalize. Wolverhampton finally found joy with their first victory of the season, ending a run of only draws and losses after 20 games. Although still at the bottom, this result is seen as a crucial morale boost for the Wolves in their relegation fight.

In other matches, Aston Villa defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1 to climb to third place, while Brentford caused a major upset with a 4-2 win at Everton.

After round 20, Arsenal emerged as the biggest beneficiary by increasing their lead over rivals. While the rest of the Big Six dropped points simultaneously, the Gunners have proven not only to lead but also to possess the consistency needed to go deep in this season’s title race.
