Tiến Linh immediately did something with the very rare Vietnamese overseas prodigy.

Vietnamese overseas midfielder Khoa Ngô received well wishes and flowers from Tiến Linh upon his signing with CA TP HCM.

On the morning of January 4, 2026, midfielder Ngô Đăng Khoa officially signed a contract with the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club right at the club’s headquarters. Khoa Ngô, his Vietnamese name is Ngô Đăng Khoa. Born in 2006, holding Australian nationality, with both parents being Vietnamese.

Before joining the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club, Khoa Ngô played for Perth Glory in the Australian A-League and was the first Vietnamese-origin player to compete in Australia’s national football league.

In the 2025/2026 season, Khoa Ngô appeared 6 times for Perth Glory in the A-League and scored his first goal in Australia’s top football competition. Playing primarily as an attacking midfielder with great speed, Khoa Ngô is expected to bring a “fresh breeze” to the playing style of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club.

After signing the contract, on the afternoon of January 4, the Australian Vietnamese midfielder traveled to Bà Rịa and was introduced to the coaching staff and teammates of CA TP HCM who were training there. Before the training session began, the 2006-born midfielder was introduced to the entire team by club leaders. On behalf of the team, captain Tiến Linh presented flowers and, along with coach Lê Huỳnh Đức, extended the best wishes to Khoa Ngô.

The biggest difference that makes Khoa Ngô attract special attention from experts and fans is his purely Vietnamese origin. Born in Perth (Australia), but both his father and mother are Vietnamese.

Although only 19 years old, Khoa Ngô has shown remarkable maturity in his playing mentality. Standing at 1.65m, he does not rely on physical stature but focuses on maximizing speed, individual technique, and agile dribbling. Before being promoted to the first team, he was a key player for Perth Glory’s youth squad with an impressive goal-scoring record in the Western Australia NPL.
