Patrick Baldwin Jr. will miss today's game due to an ankle injury! The Clippers have signed Baldwin to a 10-day contract: averaging 21 points and 6 rebounds in the G League.

On January 17th Beijing time, the Clippers face the Raptors on the road, with Leonard out because of a right ankle sprain. The Clippers have inked a 10-day contract with forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. The NBA's official transaction record confirms the contract has been activated.

Selected 28th overall in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft, Baldwin has played 93 regular-season games across the Warriors, Wizards, and Clippers since entering the league. Last season, he was on a two-way contract with the Clippers and participated in their training camp this offseason, but was ultimately waived after the preseason ended.

During the 2025-26 season so far, Baldwin has been playing for the Clippers' G League affiliate, the Agua Caliente Clippers. In 17 G League games, this 2.13-meter forward has averaged 33.9 minutes, scoring 21.1 points, grabbing 6.7 rebounds, dishing 3.1 assists, and recording 1.7 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 54.6% from the field, 32.1% from three, and 65.2% from the free-throw line.

The Clippers currently have one open spot on their 15-man roster, so signing Baldwin does not require any corresponding cuts. This 10-day contract will cost the Clippers $131,970 in salary, bringing their total payroll to roughly $1.15 million below the hard salary cap luxury tax threshold.

Maintaining a full 15-player roster for the 10-day period will provide the Clippers with greater flexibility regarding their two-way players Kobe Sanders and Jordan Miller. According to NBA rules, two-way players can appear in up to 50 regular-season games per season; however, if a team’s official roster falls below 15 players, the combined games for all two-way players cannot exceed 90.

As long as the Clippers keep a full 15-man roster, they can activate Sanders, Miller, and small forward Tahj Washington simultaneously, and their games played will not count toward the 90-game limit imposed when the roster is under 15 players. Instead, each player’s individual 50-game limit applies.

So far this season, the Clippers have had five two-way players (Sanders, Miller, Washington, Jamil Telfort, and Ray-J Dennis) who have collectively appeared in 74 games. However, Telfort and Dennis have since been waived by the team.
